About Us!
We became friends in 2008, but we eventually became family to each other. Through many seasons of life, we have co-parented, cleaned each other’s houses, planned weddings, navigated moving, cooked together, worked together, grieved through the heartbreaks and loss of children and laughed through the joys of life.
Make It Beige was started at the kitchen table one morning. We were drinking coffee and talking about the next season of our life. We both knew that we wanted to create something new and exciting. We paused and at the same time said “Should we start a coffee company?!?” The rest is history!

I married my brother’s best friend in 2010 and had already known him for 8 years. He was one of the few people who saw my awkward and shy self and didn’t ignore me. Turns out that the awkwardness and shyness was mostly trauma and he and Jennifer are in the top 5 of people who saw who I really was and encouraged and helped me to heal. My husband and I had our first child in 2011, 2nd child in 2013, 3rd child in 2015 and adopted our 4th child (b. 2013) in 2022. They are phenomenal humans, if I do say so myself! I have worked in the church world, the wedding industry and have planned 2 smaller weddings; so, I knew there was a need for what we’re offering. In fact, I had often been frustrated by the lack of services of this type that celebrate people’s big moments. I don’t know why it took me so long to realize that I could be a part of fulfilling that need!

I married my college sweetheart in 2006 and we are raising three beautiful children together. I have been homeschooling since 2019. I love to bake, knit, and play games. I worked in the wedding industry for over 2 years and loved every minute of it! I have lived in the Tulsa area since 2008, with the exception of a few years that we lived in Northwest Arkansas while my husband earned his PhD. NWA will always hold a special place in our hearts. Launching a business was never on my radar, but it is something that turned into a dream quickly! Building this business is so much more than a hobby for me. Homeschooling my children is a part of my life that I never knew I wanted, but I truly love it so much and this business is something that fits right into the rhythm of our life. I get to do something that excites me and blesses my family while I raise and educate our babies.
